Death Note: Josephine H. "Jo" Lenker 94, of Valley View and Harrisburg, passed away at the Manor at Susquehanna Village in Millersburg, on Monday, April 4, 2016.
Jo was born in Hebe, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Allen R. and Ruth Faye (Troutman) Schlegel. She was a graduate of Hegins Twp. High School class of 1939 and was a store manager for S&H Green Stamps of Harrisburg, retiring in 1986. She was a member of her church, Calvary E.F.C. of Valley View.
Jo was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Lenker; her sister, Geraldine Brubaker; her brothers, Max and Palmer Schlegel.
Jo is survived by her son, Steven Lenker of Harrisburg; her granddaughter, Susan (Andrew) Miller of Ft. Bragg, NC; her grandson, Matthew (Leann) Lenker; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11 A.M. at the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 6011 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
A Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 A.M. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
